Taylor Swift e SZA guidano le nomination ai Grammy 2024

Taylor Swift con “Midnights” potrebbe diventare la prima artista ad aver vinto quattro volte nella categoria Album of the Years, mentre SZA guida le nomination con nove candidature

Sono state annunciate le nomination per le novantaquattro categorie die Grammy 2024 e sì, tra SZA, Taylor Swift e la colonna sonora di Barbie, le donne sono protagoniste di questa edizione. È SZA l’artista che ha ricevuto più candidature per questa sessantaseiesima edizione, nove per l’esattezza. Seguono Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Boygenius e Taylor Swift con sei. Quest’ultima – reduce dal successo del suo tour e del film che lo ha portato nelle sale – potrebbe entrare nella storia come prima artista ad aver vinto quattro volte nella categoria Album of the Years, conquistando così un altro record.

Con Midnights Taylor Swift si gioca quindi il posto da vincitore come Album dell’anno contro SOS di SZA, Guts di Olivia Rodrigo, Endless Summer Vacation di Miley Cyrus, The Record delle Boygenius, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd di Lana Del Rey, The Age of Pleasure di Janelle Monae e World Music Radio di Jon Batiste, unico uomo a gareggiare sia in questa categoria, sia in Song of the Year con Butterfly. Jon Batiste dovrà contendere il premio per il brano del 2023 anche con due pezzi provenienti dalla colonna sonora della pellicola campione d’incassi Barbie: quale tra Dance the Night di Dua Lipa e What Was I Made For? di Billie Eilish verrà maggiormente apprezzata dalla giuria? Lo scopriremo il prossimo 4 febbraio, quando si terrà la cerimonia di premiazione.

Il film di Greta Gerwing nel frattempo porta a casa ben undici candidature in sette categorie, tra cui Record of the Year e Best Song Written for Visual Media, in cui occupa quattro posti su cinque nomination. Chi trionferà alla sessantesima edizione dei Grammy è difficile dirlo, ma sicuramente le donne hanno già conquistato questi Awards a partire dalle candidature e non ci stupiremmo se i riconoscimenti più importanti vedessero un en plein di artiste sul gradino più alto del podio (sotto le nomination delle principali categorie).
